Financial Controller CPA (Bilingual)

ZD Jasper Realty is looking for a highly experienced Head of Accounting/Controller. We are a family-owned development company with a portfolio of luxury residential & mixed-use projects across Long Island City & Manhattan. In this role, you would be responsible for developing standards for our finance operations, managing regulatory compliance, and creating portfolio metrics to understand cross-property performance. This is a unique position for you to gain exposure to the full lifecycle of real estate development. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced culture, possesses strong analytical skills, and brings in extensive industry experience to establish company best practices.

Core Responsibilities

    • Accounting: Optimize system for recording & approving invoices, reconciling general ledger accounts, and monitoring budgets and cashflow.
    • Loans: Administer loan agreements, submit pay applications, and maintain compliance with lender requirements.
    • Tax: Assist with quarterly and annual tax reports. Recommend & execute on tax strategies that align with business goals.
    • People Development: Train & manage an accountant & bookkeeper team

Qualifications:

    • CPA certification
    • US work authorization
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 8+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting
    • 4+ years Real Estate industry experience
    • Chinese-English bilingual (highly preferred)
    • Quickbooks Pro (preferred)

Senior Construction Manager

Position: Senior Construction Manager
Offered Wage: $126,714.00/year
Work Location: 60 Cutter Mill Rd, #405, Great Neck, NY 11021

Core Responsibilities

    • Develop and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for project assignments
    • Draft engineering judgement letters for unique project field conditions
    • Prepare proposals for professional services or funding for engineering projects/programs
    • Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance
    • Supervise junior engineers and assisting staff
    • Establish fundamental structural engineering practices
    • Review and approve specifications, test materials, design, and develop equipment
    • Develop new techniques, processes, materials, or products
    • Monitor and achieve project financial goals
    • Maintain client relationships and serve as point of contact for projects
    • Develop opportunities for further work

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or equivalent
    • Minimum 60 months of work experience in similar civil engineer occupations
      (e.g., project manager, civil engineer, construction engineer)
      OR
    • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or equivalent
    • Minimum 36 months of work experience in similar civil engineer occupations
      (e.g., project manager, civil engineer, construction engineer)
